DES MOINES, Iowa — Temporary lane closures are coming to Fleur Drive next week as crews begin work on a resurfacing project.
The City of Des Moines said the lane closures will be between George Flagg Parkway and W MLK Parkway, starting Monday, July 28th. The project is expected to be completed before October 15th.
Detours are available for drivers who wish to avoid the congestion by using alternate routes on MLK, Jr. Parkway, Bell Avenue, Thomas Beck Road, SW 9th Street and SW 7th Street.

The city said despite the lane closures, access will be maintained to Gray’s Lake Park and Water Works Park during normal park hours.
