DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is on the scene at Embassy Suites in Des Moines’ downtown after a car crashed into the hotel building.

It happened a little before 7:00 on Wednesday morning. Our crew on the scene captured video of a black Chevy Impala that had crashed into the building at 101 E. Locust, near an entrance. They also saw one person on a stretcher, who was loaded into an ambulance before it left the scene.

We’re still waiting for official information from the Des Moines Police Department about the incident.
