Forecast: When is the next storm chance?

DES MOINES, Iowa — We’ve got a gorgeous summer day in progress after rain soaked the state this past week. Your weather timeline takes you through a dry forecast into Monday:

Lows Saturday night will be cool for a change, and we stay dry through Tuesday before upper air disturbances and frontal passages increase precipitation chances Wednesday and Thursday. Before that, rain may drop on spots northwest of the WHO 13 viewing area Sunday evening.

Rain totals could again be heavy in north central Iowa Wednesday into Thursday afternoon.
