6 injured during multi-vehicle crash near Norwalk Saturday morning

WARREN COUNTY, Iowa — Iowa State Patrol says six people were injured during a multi-vehicle crash in Warren County, outside Norwalk, on Saturday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened just after midnight at Highway R-63 south of G-14 when a car struck two other cars on the road.

Authorities say an SUV crossed the center line and sideswiped a pickup truck, which rolled and landed on the vehicle’s passenger side, in the road. The SUV then struck another vehicle, which also landed in the roadway.

Six people were injured during the crash, five were transported via ambulance to a local hospital. A 12-year-old was transported to the hospital via air ambulance.

Iowa State Patrol has opened an investigation into the crash.
