President Trump visiting Iowa State Fairgrounds, what to know

DES MOINES, Iowa — President Trump is visiting the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Thursday, where he will kick off celebrations for America’s 250th birthday.

President Trump announced the visit in June, saying it will be “a unique opportunity for Americans to come together and celebrate the strength and rich values of our nation, forging lasting memories for generations to come.”

“Iowa voted for me THREE TIMES, because they love my Policies for our Wonderful Farmers and Small Businesses, and they LOVE AMERICA! This will be a very special event, honoring our Great Country, and our Brave Heroes who fought to keep us FREE,” Trump said on Truth Social.

The pre-program begins at 5 p.m. with President Trump taking the Iowa State Fairgrounds stage and delivering his remarks at 7:30 p.m.
