DALLAS CENTER, Iowa — What started as a controlled burn turned into a structure fire in Dallas Center Friday afternoon.
Multiple fire departments were called out to the 27000 block of 250th Street, southeast of Dallas Center, at around 12:45 p.m. on a report of a structure fire. According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, multiple vehicles were inside the building, but most were able to be saved.
The sheriff’s office said the fire started as a controlled burn that spread to the building. No injuries were reported.
