DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Corrections is seeking an inmate who failed to return to a work release facility in Des Moines last week.

Officials are looking for 23-year-old Waloa Chamdual, who the DOC said did not return to Fort Des Moines as required on June 19th. Chamdual was convicted of first-degree robbery in Polk County. He began his work release at Fort Des Moines on May 13th.

The DOC provided a photo of Chamdual and said he is 5’10” and 156 pounds.
