IOWA — Storms continue to roll across eastern Iowa even as I write this post, and they left behind heavy rain, wind and hail. Storm reports are below, and included strong wind gusts, reports of damage, as well as some hail.

Rain totals were again heaviest in north-central Iowa over the past 24 and 48 hours. The highest totals from selected sites as of 9 am are below as well.

Lows this morning were quite warm, even with the rain coming through, foreshadowing a steamy weekend.
