DES MOINES, Iowa — It was another warm and muggy day, and those conditions fueled more showers and storms across Iowa. We even had a few funnel cloud reports from the Webster City area, due to all the juice in the atmosphere and a weak area of low pressure. Rainfall amounts from a few sites for the past 48 hours are below.

Our severe risk is very low this evening and tonight and moves off Wednesday. But we stay in intermittent rain chances into Wednesday evening. Heat builds in beyond that and into a steamy weekend, with heat indices exceeding 100° possible. We will then see another rain chance late next Monday into Tuesday.
