DES MOINES, Iowa — A stationary front is stalled out along the northern part of Iowa. This triggered strong to severe storms on Wednesday afternoon. Wind and hail damage came from parts of Kossuth, Wright, and Franklin counties by Wednesday night. A couple of inches of rain fell in between Mason City and Cedar Rapids.





The weather pattern looks similar on this Thursday afternoon with stray storms popping up in almost the same areas during the same time period. The weather will be drier on Friday.
