Forecast: Mild temps and tiny rain chances

DES MOINES, Iowa — The sunshine has returned, along with a warmer afternoon than what we saw yesterday after the cold frontal passage. The mild temperatures stick around in your weather timeline.

An air quality alert remains in effect through tomorrow morning. Wildfire smoke is still lingering at the surface in parts of Iowa.

Lows tonight will be a little warmer than last night’s, and Thursday stays dry for most. We do have small rain chances late Friday and early Saturday. Sunday’s precipitation outlook is murkier, but it looks mostly dry for now. In general, a tiny shower isn’t out of the question Thursday through Saturday, but most of us will see little to no rainfall.

Highs for the next six days and your WHO 13 7-day forecasts are above. Extended forecasts follow. In general, we look to get warmer and wetter after the 14th.
