Storms move in, along with cooler air

We managed to clear the smoke out of our skies and return to blue this afternoon on what was the warmest day of the year so far. Rain and cool changes are ahead in your weather timeline:

Lows tonight stay mild, but temperatures won’t rise much on Tuesday as thunderstorms move in. Eastern Iowa is highlighted in the Storm Prediction Center’s Day 2 outlook for the possibility of wind and hail from afternoon storms.

The timing of the storms is below, with one line coming through in the early morning, and another in the afternoon. Scattered showers will be around in between and will also linger into Tuesday evening. Rainfall amounts look pretty good!

We’ll see slight rain chances Thursday afternoon and again Saturday evening. Amounts look light at this point.

Highs for the next 6 days can be found above, and your WHO 13 7-day forecasts below. The pattern looks to stay active through mid-month!
