Forecast: Rain chances and warming

DES MOINES, Iowa — Temperatures have struggled to warm south of Interstate 80 under cloud cover, while it’s been a sunny and warmer Sunday in the north. Your weather timeline steps you into rain chances:

Lows will be cool again Sunday night, and we start Monday off dry. Rain chances increase after 3 p.m. on Memorial Day, and scattered showers will be with us intermittently into Tuesday evening before dissipating. Wednesday and Thursday will warm again and be mostly dry, though an isolated late-day storm is possible both days when the atmosphere heats.
