GREENFIELD, Iowa — Lisa Beaman was one of the residents whose home was destroyed by the Greenfield tornado one year ago.
Beaman finished rebuilding her home just weeks ago and said that it wasn’t easy living during construction.
“A long one. Very long year. We stayed out in the campground for about five months in a camper. And then in the fall we had to rent a house in Winterset until this one got built, which we just moved in about three weeks ago,” Beaman said.
Beaman said there is still work to do on the house.
“Find out where everything in the house is actually get moved in, what light switches to what room, to what light, and just, you know, get our lives back to normal like it was before the tornado. You know, we had a lot of memories and an old house and but, you know, we made it through there,” Beaman said.
