FLOYD COUNTY, Iowa — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Floyd County on Friday evening.
According to the Iowa State Patrol report, the crash happened at Highway 14 and County Road B60 just after 8:10 p.m. on Friday.
A box truck was driving westbound on County Road B60 when it failed to stop at Highway 14 and struck a Jeep traveling southbound. Both vehicles entered the southeast ditch.
The box truck driver, 38-year-old Britney Huffman, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, 35-year-old Autumn Taylor, was assessed at the scene and received minor injuries.
Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Marble Rock Fire and Rescue, AMR, and Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.
