UPDATE: The DMPD said Dixie has been located safe and is being reunited with family.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is requesting the public’s help to locate a 10-year-old believed to be in crisis.

According to DMPD, Dixie was last seen in the Watrous South Neighborhood Monday afternoon, near the 1900 block of Leland Avenue. Police said it’s believed that Dixie is in crisis.

Dixie is about 4 feet 7 inches tall and 80 lbs., and was last seen wearing a camo Under Armor hoodie. Anyone with information about Dixie’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
