DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Brewery Running Series kicked off the start of its season with an event held at Confluence Brewery Company on Sunday, April 27th.

The Iowa Brewery Running Series hosts fun runs at different breweries around Iowa over the course of summer and fall.

Audrie Leib, the Event Director of the Iowa Brewery Running Series, said that Iowa’s running community shows out for the series.

“The running community, I say it like is just the best community. Like these people have been coming to these for years and years now, and they just they’ll come out for anything, rain or sunshine,” Leib said.

These runs may get Iowans on the move, but it’s all for a good cause. The Iowa Brewery Running Series donates proceeds to local charities.

“So, all of the events we do, 10% of our proceeds go back to a local nonprofit,” Leib said.
