DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is requesting assistance locating a missing 11-year-old last seen near the southside Indianola Hills neighborhood.

According to DMPD, Malik was reported missing just after 4 p.m. and was last seen near the 400 block of Olinda Avenue, in the southside Indianola Hills neighborhood.

Malik is believed to be in crisis; family and law enforcement efforts to locate him have not produced results.

Malik is 4’11’ tall and around 95 pounds, he was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue shorts.
