DES MOINES, Iowa– A geomagnetic storm will change up the color of the sky tonight looking north. The weather will be picture perfect with clear skies and less wind overnight. It will be chilly with lows in the 30s. Some of the best viewing will occur in between 2-5 AM in the northern sky.

There is a chance you could see it again on Wednesday night. The best way to see this Aurora is in rural areas away from the lights of the city.
