UPDATE: The Johnston Police Department announced that Mary has been found safe.

JOHNSTON, Iowa — The Johnston Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing 82-year-old woman.

According to police, Mary has dementia and was last seen near the 6800 block of Trail Ridge. Mary has long gray hair and was last seen wearing either a beige dress or pajamas and may be carrying a red blanket.

Anyone with information about Mary’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
