Cooper DeJean, teammates to compete in charity softball game at Principal Park

DES MOINES, Iowa — Odebolt native Cooper DeJean and several of his fellow star athletes will compete in a charity softball game presented by Octane Sports at Principal Park in June.

DeJean will captain one of the teams and will be joined by some of his Philadelphia Eagles teammates, including AJ Brown, Reed Blankenship, and Isaiah Rogers. DeJean’s team will take on a team captained by his former college teammate Riley Moss. Moss’ team will include Bo Nix, Wil Lutz, Alex Singleton, and Mike McGlinchey. Octane Sports said more athletes are expected to be added to the roster.

Fans will also get the chance to meet DeJean at the game with the purchase of a meet and greet ticket. Octane Sports said the meet and greet tickets will only be available to the first 200 people who purchase them.

The charity softball game will take place on Sunday, June 1 following the end of the Iowa Cubs game. Tickets to the Cubs game will also get you admission to the softball game. For more information on how to purchase tickets and the game visit the Iowa Cubs website.

According to Octane Sports, all proceeds from the meet and greet ticket package and auction, as well as a portion of regular ticket sales, will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
