Forecast: Raindrops and warmth ahead

We started Sunday off with chilly temperatures as forecast, but sunshine helped warm us to temperatures in the 50’s for a pleasant weekend. Your weather timeline takes you into Tuesday afternoon.

Make sure the kids grudgingly put on a jacket in the morning. Monday will be a cooler day than Sunday:

We’ll be dry through Tuesday. A series of disturbances will give us intermittent rain chances Wednesday morning through Thursday evening. Don’t cancel outdoor plans, as we’re not expecting heavy rainfall.

Our Wednesday and Thursday rains won’t amount to much, as shown in the images from the European computer model and Weather Prediction Center below.

As Colorado State’s severe weather algorithm below shows us, we don’t have a chance for severe weather again in the Midwest until late next Sunday. This is good news for places like Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee, which have been ravaged by severe weather and flooding in recent days.
