DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are still working to identity the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred over the weekend.

At around 10:30 p.m. Saturday officers with the DMPD responded to a report of a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash in the 1100 block of East 9th Street. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found an adult male injured in the west alley. Despite life-saving measures, the male was declared dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, the DMPD identified the victim as David Molina Ramirez, 62.
