OTLEY, Iowa — Multiple crews battled a large fire at a co-op in Otley on Monday.
The fire was called in early Monday afternoon and was reported to be at the Twin Rivers Cooperative in the 300 block of Business Highway 163. A WHO 13 crew at the scene captured a large smoke plume over the town. Fire crews from Knoxville and Pella were seen battling the flames.
Local radio station KNIA/KRLS reported an evacuation notice was issued for Otley due to a concern over sulfur in the co-op. The notice instructed those in town to move outside of a half mile radius of the area.
According to our crew, law enforcement has blocked off access to the town.
