IOWA CITY, Iowa — On Monday, the University of Iowa announced that Ben McCollum would be the next head coach for the Iowa men’s basketball team.

McCollum’s hiring comes after his incredible single season as Drake University’s head coach, where he led the Bulldogs to winning the Missouri Valley Conference and led them to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

On Tuesday afternoon, McCollum along with the university, held a press conference about the announcement.
