DES MOINES, Iowa– Hundreds of books and people are at the Des Moines Book Festival.
The event was organized by Beaverdale Books and the Beaverdale Neighborhood Association. It kicked off at 9 a.m. at the Franklin Events Center, located at 4801 Franklin Avenue in Des Moines.
Four headline presentations are being offered showcasing the following authors:
- Fiction writer Claire Lombardo
- Historian Alexis Coe
- Award-winning Hanif Abdurraqib
- Bestselling author C.J. Box
There are also over two dozen panel discussions, and children’s activities. Six food trucks will also be on sight. The event goes till 6 p.m. and admission is free, free parking is also available.
