Forecast: Wind, water, and warming

We’re about where we were Friday as I type this temperature-wise, but with sunshine it’s been a decent Saturday to be outside. Your weather timeline takes us into a bumpier Sunday.

It won’t be as chilly as it was last night with cloud cover around, but it will get breezier. Winds really pick up during the morning hours Sunday as precipitation chances increase.

Shower chances will be with us intermittently Sunday, ending by evening.

Additional rain chances look to come early Tuesday, late Thursday, and on Saturday during the upcoming week. But as the third image below shows, amounts won’t be all that impressive.

The good news is that, while I can’t say with 100% certainty at this point, we may be done with snow for the season in central and southern Iowa. Northern Iowa may not be done yet.

Highs for the next six days are below, and we’ve got a nice warming trend ahead for the end of the work week. The extended forecasts that follow hint that we’ll have above-average temperatures sticking around into April.

Your WHO 13 7-day forecasts. Enjoy your Saturday!
