Forecast: Mild temps, wind and rain chances

It’s been a cool and breezy Friday, but temperatures have warmed when compared to Thursday’s. You weather timeline takes you into the weekend below.

A cold front will bring a chance of showers and storms through during the evening hours. Small hail and gusty winds may accompany them. Precipitation should be out of the viewing area by 8p.m. or so.

It will be a chilly Friday night, but both Saturday and Sunday will feature above-average temperatures.

Saturday will be dry, but winds will begin to increase later along with rain chances during the evening. Sunday will be a very breezy day with rain chances until evening.

Another rain chance comes our way late Monday night into Tuesday. As seen in the images following, none of these rain chances look to bring much in the way of precipitation.

As much as I’d like to say otherwise, Iowa may not be done with snow for the season. Both the Weather Prediction Center’s graphic below and the European model’s ensemble output hint at snow chances around the March 31 through April 2 timeframe. We will keep you updated.
