DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating a shooting on the city’s south side.
At around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday officers with the DMPD responded to multiple reports of shots fired near SE 2nd Street and E Edison Avenue. The DMPD said when officers arrived at the scene they discovered evidence of gunfire, including shell casings.
According to DMPD, no injuries or damage has been reported and there’s no evidence of any ongoing danger to the neighborhood.
Residents can expect an increased police presence as the investigation unfolds.
