GUTHRIE CENTER, Iowa — The storm system that moved across Iowa the evening of March 14 blew a roof of an apartment building in Guthrie Center off.
The Guthrie Center Fire Department as well as the Panora and Granger fire departments responded.
Jeremy Cooper, the Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator said there were no injuries from the roof.
“No injuries, you know, nobody lived there. So, after the Greenfield tornado last year, I mean, I’ll take this any day. This is my kind of severe weather. I’d rather deal with this kind of stuff than anything like that,” Cooper said.
Cooper said that power had to be turned off while the roof is off, but it will be restored soon.
