POLK COUNTY, Iowa — The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 will be closed overnight Monday for road construction.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the section of westbound I-80 between the U.S. 65 interchange (exit 141) in Altoona and the Northeast Mixmaster will be closed for construction work on the pavement. The closure will last from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, weather permitting.
A detour will be put in place during the closure. The detour will have motorists utilize the U.S. 65 bypass, Hubbell Avenue and Euclid Avenue, and Interstate 235.
