AMES, Iowa — Two people have been charged in the shooting death of a Boone man in January.
At around 6:30 p.m. on January 18 the Ames Police Department responded to an apartment in the 200 block of South 5th Street in Ames. When first responders arrived at the scene they found 25-year-old Parker Stoneburner suffering from a gunshot wound. Stoneburner was transported to a hospital, but later died from his injuries.
On Tuesday the police department announced that two additional people have been charged in the case. Zoe A. Anderson, 21, of Boone, and Abraham M. Guhnics, 19, of Independence, Missouri are both facing first-degree murder charges.
Destiny Skurdal, 19, was previously charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection to Stoneburner’s death.
According to police, Anderson and Guhnics were located by the U.S. Marshals Service – Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force in Independence, Missouri. They both are being held in the Jackson County Detention Center in Kansas City, Missouri on arrest warrants while awaiting extradition.
