DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa Congresswoman Ashley Hinson, a Republican representing the 2nd District, is expressing support for President Donald Trump’s effort to reduce the size of government.

Rep. Hinson joined WHO 13’s Amanda Krenz in the studio on Tuesday. She said the work of the president’s Department of Government Efficiency is long overdue.

“DOGE is already saving taxpayers about a billion dollars a day, and we all knew that there was a lot of government waste and fraud and the fact that they’re able to uncover a lot of that and do that in such an expedited fashion I think is really important,” said Hinson.
