DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department has released the name of the victim who died in a shooting on Friday.
At around 5 p.m. the Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the 800 block of Maury Street. When officers arrived they found one person with gunshot wounds. The victim died from his injuries at the scene.
On Wednesday the DMPD identified the victim as 25-year-old Armando Cruz Lorenzo.
No arrests have been made in the case. The DMPD said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at (515)283-4869.
