DES MOINES, Iowa — One person was injured in a shooting in the Captiol View South neighborhood Friday evening.

At around 5 p.m. the Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of the 800 block of Maury Street. When officers arrived at the scene they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to DMPD, the scene is secure and there’s no indication of any ongoing danger.
