Iowa Senate bill would criminalize exposing minors to ‘obscene performances’

In a 2-1 vote, state lawmakers advanced SF 116 through a Senate subcommittee Wednesday. The bill would make it a crime to expose minors to an “obscene performance” and would allow a parent to bring a civil lawsuit against anyone who exposes their child to obscene material or performances.
