CAMBRIDGE, Iowa — Two people and their two pets are safe following an early morning housefire outside Cambridge.
At approximately 3 am. Sunday morning, multiple agencies responded to Northeast 68th Street, outside Cambridge, on reports of a housefire.
The occupants of the house reported being woken up by the fire alarm and making their way out of the house.
Polk and Story County fire agencies responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the flames quickly.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
