WOODWARD, Iowa — One dead following a single vehicle rollover crash in Dallas County.

According to a Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post at approximately 2:31 a.m., the Dallas County Dispatch received a call about a single car rollover accident.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 141 and R Avenue, outside Woodward.

Deputies located a 2005 Chevy Impala that had struck a power pole and rolled multiple times. A deceased male was found in the vehicle.

The man was later identified as 22-year-old Josue Curiel from Perry, Iowa.

Deputies say the cause and circumstances of the accident are under investigation.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dallas County EMS, Perry Police Department, and the Woodward Police Department.
