IOWA — The Animal Rescue League of Iowa said five puppies were rescued on Monday after they were left on the side of a road in dangerously cold temperatures.
The puppies were taken to the ARL after being found in a plastic tote on the side of a rural road when temperatures were in the single digits and the wind chill was as low as -15 degrees, the ARL said.
All of the puppies are now under the care of the ARL and are safe and warm.
No additional information has been released.
