MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — Four people have been arrested on criminal drug charges following a search warrant that was issued on Friday.
On January 17, Marshalltown investigators and the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a home on 2nd Street in Marshalltown. The investigation led to the arrest of four suspects who were all jailed on various criminal drug charges.
A search of the residence uncovered evidence of drug use and distribution. Approximately 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms were seized by authorities. A firearm and various drug-related paraphernalia was also recovered.
55-year-old Linda Smith is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance w/ Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, second Offense
- Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, second Offense
- Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp
- Prohibited Acts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
29-year-old Damien Ritter is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, third or Subsequent Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Prohibited Acts
Ritter and Smith are also arrested on outstanding criminal warrants linked to an October 2024 investigation. 250 grams of methamphetamine, along with marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms were seized by the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force during a search warrant at the same residence.
33-year-old Bradley Moeller is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, second or Subsequent Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
29-year-old Shelby Powell is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Marshalltown Police Department, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
