Iowa father charged with murder in infant son’s death to be arraigned Tuesday

JEFFERSON, Iowa — A Greene County father charged in the death of his infant son is scheduled to be arraigned this week.

Nolan Wilson

Nolan Wilson is charged with child endangerment resulting in death and first-degree murder. He is also facing domestic abuse charges for allegedly strangling his wife.

According to court documents, deputies were called to a home in Paton on September 3rd, 2024, where Wilson told officers his two-month-old son had stopped breathing.

An autopsy determined the baby’s cause of death was a head injury from blunt-force trauma, prompting an investigation. Court documents claim Wilson intentionally caused the injuries to his son.

Wilson is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning at the Greene County Courthouse.
