MARHSALLTOWN, Iowa — The Marshalltown Police Department has arrested three men as part of an ongoing credit card scam investigation.
The investigation began on December 23, 2024, after the Marshalltown Police Department received reports of credit card fraud and a possible skimming device.
A skimming device was successfully located attached to a gas pump at a Casey’s on West Lincoln Way on December 31, 2024.
Authorities say that as of January 3, 2025, more than 30 people reported finding fraudulent charges on their accounts, with multiple individuals reporting their cards being used at the Walmart on Center Street and the Git N Go on West Lincoln Way.
Authorities obtained surveillance video during the investigation and developed suspects.
On January 2 and 3, three arrests were made in relation to the ongoing credit card investigation.

38-year-old Alieski Perez Hernandez from Florida was arrested and charged with identify theft under $1500 and theft in the third-degree.
Yohannis Bacardi Bague, 30, from Missouri was arrested and charged with identity theft over $10,000, first-degree theft, and unauthorized use of a credit card over $10,000.


26-year-old Oscar Rodriguez Alcaraz from Florida was arrested and charged with identity theft over $10,000, first-degree theft, and unauthorized use of a credit card over $10,000.
The investigation into the reported credit card frauds remains open and the Marshalltown Police Department expects to make more arrests.
