DES MOINES, Iowa — The recent warm weather has allowed golfers another chance on the course.
Blank Golf Course located in 808 County Line Road in Des Moines is one of the few courses in the metro that open their doors this late in the year.
If the temperatures rise above 40 degrees, they’re happy to let visitors get in a few last swings.
Blank Golf Course used to shut down with a majority of the metro golf courses in early November, but as more and more days yielded warmer weather, they found people are excited to come out.
This weekend they will use a shotgun start to get 144 guys on the course. Everyone will start on a different hole and they all T-off at the same time.
They keep busy all weekend long with Sunday already being full and around just 20 openings for Saturday left.
