DALLAS COUNTY, Iowa — The Grinch and his trusty sidekick, Max, were arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly trying to steal Christmas presents from Dallas County residents.

According to a Facebook post by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas County Dispatch received a call reporting a suspicious sleigh sighting. Deputies with the sheriff’s office investigated the report, which led to the arrest of Mr. Grinch and Max.

The pair were booked into the Dallas County Jail for Theft of Christmas Presents. The sheriff’s office said with the help of treats Max has been released on good behavior.
