DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines home on the southeast side was significantly damaged after a fire broke out Friday morning.
At around 9:40 a.m. the Des Moines Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the 400 block of East Granger Avenue. When firefighters arrived at the scene they found heavy smoke coming from the home.
According to the fire department, no one was home when firefighters arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported.
Significant fire damage was found throughout the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
