Credit union across from the Iowa State Fairgrounds robbed Thursday

DES MOINES, Iowa — Police are investigating after a credit union near the Iowa State Fairgrounds was robbed Thursday morning.

It happened around 11:20 a.m. at the Greater Iowa Credit Union at 600 E. 30th Street. Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesperson for the Des Moines Police Department said an adult female presented a note to the teller and left with cash. A description of the suspect was not released by police.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported.

The investigation into the incident continues.
