DES MOINES, Iowa — Blue Shark Ale House is opening a new location in the space where Gusto Pizza used to operate on Ingersoll Avenue.

The building at 2301 Ingersoll Ave. has been the home of three businesses in the past six years. Blue Shark Ale House will be its fourth tenant.

Kristina Gourd, the Regional Manager of Blue Shark Ale House, said she’s excited to open Blue Shark’s first location in Des Moines in the Ingersoll Neighborhood.

“It’s got a nice patio. It’s in a nice location where there’s all kinds of businesses around. We have a lot of people down on Ingersoll that wanted us to come down on Ingersoll. Businesses down there that we already use, that they’re very excited that now they don’t have to travel all the way out to Urbandale or West Des Moines they can walk up the street to our location now,” Gourd said.

The Ingersoll bar and grill, Blue Shark’s third, will open sometime in mid-November. Blue Shark’s first and second locations are in Urbandale and West Des Moines.
