DES MOINES, Iowa — A man suffering from a gunshot wound showed up at a Des Moines fire station Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Des Moines Police Department, at around 3 p.m. the victim showed up at the Des Moines Fire Department Station #4 at 917 University Avenue. The victim was transported by medics to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the arm.

Police said there’s no indication of any threat to the neighborhood. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
