Man arrested in robbery, theft cases at 2 Fort Dodge Casey’s

FORT DODGE, Iowa — A man is in the Webster County Jail after police say he targeted two Fort Dodge Casey’s stores in one day.

Around 3:36 Tuesday morning, Fort Dodge police were called to the Casey’s at 3327 5th Ave. S. on a report of a robbery. The caller said a male entered the store, demanded money, then left on foot.

According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, at about 9:33 a.m. the same day, they received reports about an incident at the Casey’s at 2007 N 15th St. The caller said a man had left the store on a bike without paying for items.

Officers were able to find that man a short while later and determined he was the suspect in both cases. As a result, 20-year-old Christafer Perez of Fort Dodge was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery and two counts of 5th-degree theft, among other charges.
