DES MOINES, Iowa — Two people are in custody after a fire was started inside Lincoln High School on Wednesday.
At around 2 p.m. the Des Moines Fire Department and Police Department responded to a report of a fire being started inside the school. According to Des Moines Public Schools, a small fire was started in a bathroom.
DMPS said the school was evacuated and no injuries occurred. There was a limited amount of damage primarily from smoke.
According to the Des Moines Police Department, two juveniles were taken into custody for first-degree arson. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
